Saturday

We arrived at our more permanent guest house this morning, and right away Esther found some other South African adopted kids to play with – two 4.5 year old boys, one 2.5 year old girl and two or three babies.

When we arrived we were welcomed by a lovely Norwegian family with two South African kids and we spent the morning talking to them outside as the kids played. We then all walked together to go to lunch and buy some groceries. The weather is wonderful – around upper 70s or lower 80s with constant sunshine.

We stopped at an outdoor pool on the way home and Esther was CRAZY as usual in the water. Crazy.

The apartment we are staying in is huge, with a large combined kitchen and living area, a large master bedroom, a medium children's room and a nice-sized bathroom. There is a small yard out front with a small pool, and then the back yard is larger but cobblestones. It is a really great place and we'll be here for about a week before we visit the South African family.

Final days of being an only child. We are having some minor behavioral issues, but I think she feels a bit disoriented in a new place and she has a really bad cold.
The city has a municipal outdoor "heated" pool that we can walk to. Yesterday the temperature was okay, so Niklas and Esther went in. She was, as usual, crazy in the water.

The guest house / apartment we are staying in is REALLY nice. Esther's favorite part is the full-sized bathtub. We like the full kitchen and lots of space.

Esther insisted that we put Sylvia's baby bed in the same room with her so that they could sleep next to each other like they will at home!
