We have learned that the biggest sport and the biggest passion here in South Africa is RUGBY.The South African team won the World Cup in Rugby last year, and the sport has become a HUGE deal here. The team is called the Springboks.
Today we are yet again in the middle of history as the South African rugby team takes on Wales in a final match in the stadium that is only a stone's throw away from our guest house......Meaning that they have roped off everything around here, there are cars everywhere, people decked out in green and gold everywhere, flags and shouting and whistling everywhere, multiple news choppers flying overhead, tailgating/grilling everywhere...it is CRAZY! And the game hasn't even started yet! (it is a bit hard for a baby to take a nap in the middle of all of THAT!)
We think we will be able to hear pretty much everything once it gets underway (we thought about actually going to the game as my birthday present, but it was too expensive). It is also the most white people we have seen thus far in one place in South Africa (rugby is the white man's sport).
We bought a souvenir for Niklas.

It's amazing how things changes, you are really blessed. Jag sitter på jobb i världens nordligaste stad(Hammerfest) och läser om eran underbara tid i Sydafrika. Fantastiskt. Ni kommer att bli underbara føräldrar før Esther.
