Our first day together, Sylvia did not want to smile. She did not want to laugh, either.
Over the next day or so, she would kind of giggle a little bit when we tickled her or played baby games with her, but it kind of took awhile to come out, and she would always look at us suspiciously before she would laugh, to see what our reactions might be.
With lots of practice and lots of tickling, she laughs a lot now! It kind of starts deep down inside of her, and you can see it coming from the look in her eyes, and then it kind of erupts out of her mouth as a little squeal and her whole face breaks into a smile. She has dimples way up on her cheeks, further up than I've ever seen on anybody. It's like a grunt-squeal, and it's funny!
It's a great laugh!
