A day in the park and The Attack of the Chinese Tourist Group

We decided to take a walk today to an area called the Union Buildings, which are the government buildings with a large park and garden area in front. We brought a blanket to sit on, a soccer ball to play with, some fika to eat, and spent at least 2 hours in the lovely sunny weather, just having fun as a family.

Sylvia slept on the long walk up the long hill.

The park has a view out across downtown Pretoria.

Esther liked to look at all the pretty African things for sale. If I had lots of money, I would probably buy one of everything! It would be fun to decorate a room with all that stuff!

LOVING the sunshine and warmer weather (it's been chilly here until now!)





Today was a special day for Esther because it was her Adoption Day!!! Two years ago we became a Forever Family!

THEN one of the funniest things EVER happened to us. My mom and dad are SO going to appreciate this;
A big group of Chinese tourists arrived and they somehow spotted us and started pointing and got all excited and came down to where we were, and they all went crazy chattering and giggling in Chinese, and all the women wanted to sit down with us and get their picture taken, and kept asking Esther if she would sit next to them and get her picture taken with them, and this lady in the photo wanted to hold Sylvia in her lap, and it was just the funniest thing! I was dying laughing! In all their photos of us they're going to see me laughing like crazy at them. It was SOOOO funny. Then an older couple started filming us with their video camera! HA! I wish I had taken more photos of them taking photos of us because it was one of the top 5 funniest things that's ever happened to us (guess you had to be there!)
